Several members of the GMOA staff are participating in a project with students in Dr. Kristina Jaskyte’s Managing Innovations in Organizations course. This course is part of the MA in Nonprofit Organizations in the UGA School of Social Work.
The project is called the Knowledge Transfer Project. The purpose of the project is for the students to teach members of an organization what they are learning about innovation and creativity so that the organization can put that knowledge to use. The students--Chris Copley, Kate Lundberg, Natasha Murphy, Kate Pavich and Katy Logue Thompson--approached GMOA after seeing the "GMOA On the Move" calendar and wondering how the staff were handling the transition.
Kate Pavich wrote the above at our request, as we weren't really sure how to describe this process, but we hope it'll be a valuable experiment, and we certainly think it will at least allow us to think about difficulties associated with the move (lack of space, among others) in, indeed, more flexible and creative ways. The snapshot above pictures the first module the students sent us.
