Construction Updates from Holder

Just because UGA was closed during the holidays doesn't mean construction didn't continue to proceed apace. Here is the update from Holder ending the week of December 31, 2009.

Current week - Activities/Issues:
New Gallery / Connector
• Skylights have been installed.
• North and West exterior wall vapor barrier is complete.
• Gallery TPO roof membrane is complete.
• Continued to install exterior limestone façade.
• Completed CMU masonry on the 1st floor.
• Started MEP overhead on 1st floor.
• Started connector SOG waterproofing.
• Completed spray fireproofing in the gallery.
• Continued the connector roofing.

Storage Bar
• Completed erecting structural steel.
• Completed installing metal decking.
• Completed structural tie-ins to the existing building.

Next week - Activities/Issues:
New Gallery / Connector
• Continue working on connector roofing.
• Continue to install the exterior vapor barrier and limestone.
• Continue MEP overhead in the gallery.
• Continue to prep for the connector SOG and elevated deck.
• Start layout for connector curtain wall.
• Damp proof the 1st floor CMU.
• Start metal panels on skylights
• Reworking brick on connector

Existing Building Renovations
• Continue with the MEP overhead rough-in.

Storage Bar
• Start the exterior concrete wall waterproofing / vapor barrier.
• Fine grade SOG.
• Start Exterior CMU
