Updates from Ronnie, part 1

Between various people being out of the office, we only just now got our hands on last week's construction update from Ronnie Green, which will appear below and soon be followed by this week's update.

For the week ending Oct. 23, 2009:

Current week - Activities/Issues:

New Gallery / Connector
• Installed vapor barrier and roof sheathing at skylights.
• Completed the large concrete retaining walls.
• Framed exterior parapet walls.
• Completed SOG below grade vapor barrier.
• Continued erecting of the connector structural steel.
• Started decking at the connector roof.
• Started exterior beam and column spray fireproofing.
• Started sheathing exterior gallery walls.
• Started waterproofing the concrete retaining walls.

Existing Building Renovations
• Continued with the CW piping installation inside the 1st floor mechanical room.
• Re-routed the domestic water lines into the 1st floor mechanical room.

Storage Bar
• Completed the installation of the new chilled water lines.
• Started cut/fill excavation of the building footprint to sub-grade.

Next week - Activities/Issues:

New Gallery / Connector
• Pour gallery SOG at the two mechanical rooms.
• Continue sheathing the exterior gallery walls.
• Continue spray fireproofing exterior beams and columns.
• Start the spray foam insulation at exterior beams and columns.
• Build the exterior wall air barrier mock.
• Continuing erecting the connector structural steel.

Existing Building Renovations
• Continue to demo / relocating the existing building systems.

Storage Bar
• Start to excavate and pour concrete footings.
