National Architecture Week

This week (April 13-19), the American Institute of Architects celebrates National Architecture Week, much of which will be hosted virtually on the facebook page located at this link. We thought this would be a good time to highlight our own architects for Phase II of the Georgia Museum of Art: Gluckman Mayner Architects (of New York; serving as the design architects), Stanley Beaman & Sears (of Atlanta; serving as the architect of record) and, of course, the Office of University Architects on the University of Georgia campus. Gluckman Mayner has significant experience with museum and gallery architecture and has designed buildings for the Museum of Contemporary Art, San Diego; the Philadelphia Museum of Art; the Museo Picasso, Malaga; the Guggenheim Westside, New York; the Andy Warhol Museum, Pittsburgh; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; Dia Center for the Arts, New York; and many more. We encourage you to look through the firm's website, which has many examples of the work it has done, and to continue to check back here for construction updates.
