PICDIT, for directing us to the work of
Dana Clancy, who paints the interior spaces of museums in a series she calls "Viewing Space" (currently up at
Laconia Gallery and previously at the
Danforth Museum). Clancy balances the presence of human figures with a focus on the interior architecture of spectacular spaces that some have complained minimize the impact of the art. We're not sure if she's taking a stance in that argument, but the paintings do provide an interesting perspective.
