Artists Wanted

The UGA chapter of the International Justice Mission is accepting submissions of artwork for an upcoming exhibition that will be on view in the second-floor rotunda of the Zell B. Miller Learning Center during the month of November.

IJM is a human rights agency based in Washington, D.C., that works to fight injustices such as bonded labor, child soldiers and sex trafficking, specifically in Asia, Latin America and Africa. With this exhibition, IJM hopes to raise awareness about modern-day slavery and oppression.

Artists are asked to submit works that embody or provide a personal interpretation of one or more of the following themes: freedom, love, hope and justice. A waiver along with a statement (optional) should be turned in with the work of art by October 25, 2009. Those interested should contact Elyssa Schroeder at elyssa5410@gmail.com or 478.747.6232.
