Construction Updates from Holder

Here's the construction report from Holder for the week of Oct. 2:

Current week - Activities/Issues:
New Gallery / Connector
• Demobilized the large erection crane.
• Demolished the existing connector brick wall.
• Poured embed curbs in the connector CMU wall.
• Completed structural studs on the North elevation.
• 50% complete with structural studs on the South elevation.
• Poured radius section of the retaining walls.
• Completed the below SOG plumbing and electrical rough-in.
• Installed outriggers, tube steel and brick relief miscellaneous steel.

Existing Building Renovations
• Continued with the ceiling/overhead demo in the Kennedy/Alston gallery.
• Continued with the CW piping installation inside the 1st floor mechanical room.

Storage Bar
• Completed cut/fill excavation.
• Installed the new 6” CW lines into the building.

Next week - Activities/Issues:
New Gallery / Connector
• Continue framing the exterior gallery walls.
• Continue to form and pour the site retaining walls.
• Finish the gallery outriggers, tube steel and brick relief angle.
• Frame skylight parapets.
• Prepare for SOG pour.

Existing Building Renovations
• Continue to demo the existing building systems.

Storage Bar
• Start footing excavation.
